# Courier Getting Started

This guide points courier teams to the current setup flow. Work through the
steps in order; each one unlocks the next part of day-to-day courier
operations.

## 1. Create or select your organization

Start by creating a workspace for your company, or selecting one your team
already invited you to.

[Create or select an organization](/help/getting-started/create-or-select-organization)

## 2. Choose Provider mode

Courier companies should choose **Provider** when chrt asks how the organization
will use the platform. Provider mode unlocks dispatch, driver assignment, order
execution, billing, and customer operations.

## 3. Invite a driver

Invite at least one driver before creating live work. Drivers use the mobile app
to receive assignments, share location, and complete delivery steps.

## 4. Add a customer

Add an off-platform shipper customer when that customer places orders by phone,
email, text, or another channel outside chrt.

[Add a customer](/help/getting-started/add-a-customer)

## 5. Set up a rate sheet

Create a basic rate sheet so your team can quote and bill delivery work
consistently. You can refine pricing after the first version is in place.

## 6. Create and assign an order

Create a delivery order for your customer, then assign it to a driver so the
driver can execute the work from the mobile app.
