Integrations

Sync external tracking platforms — like Tive — to chrt shipments.

chrt integrates with external tracking platforms so devices you already manage outside chrt can sync to your chrt orders. Today the supported integration is Tive: register Tive devices, sync Tive shipments, and pull the latest telemetry into the chrt map.

Before you start

  • Your Tive account must be linked to your chrt organization. If it isn’t yet, email trackers@chrt.com — chrt staff enables the integration per org.
  • You need at least one Tive device registered with Tive (not just chrt). Devices show up under Integrations > Devices after the link is active.

1. Open Integrations

Open chrt.com/tracking/integrations. The page redirects to the Devices view by default. Two tabs sit at the top of the integrations area:

  • Devices — every Tive device chrt sees on your linked Tive account.
  • Shipments — every Tive shipment chrt has imported.

2. Review Tive devices

The Devices tab lists each Tive device by name, Tive device ID, account, current shipment, and the timestamps for when chrt first saw and last updated the device. Click a row to open the device detail sheet, which shows the latest telemetry and a map preview of the last seen location.

Tive devices imported through the integration are separate records from the chrt-native devices on chrt.com/tracking/devices. Tive devices live under Integrations; chrt-native devices live under Devices. The order Map tab can render both side by side.

3. Review Tive shipments

Open the Shipments tab. Each row is a Tive shipment chrt has imported, sorted by most recently updated. Click a shipment to open its detail page with a map of the device’s path and timeline of telemetry points.

4. Sync the latest telemetry

Tive shipments don’t poll in real time — chrt fetches new data points when you ask. On the Tive shipment detail page, click Sync in the top-right corner. The button shows a Syncing… state while chrt hits the Tive API, then a popover summarizes how many new data points landed.

Hover over Sync to see the tooltip “Fetches new Tive tracker data points from the Tive API.” If you opened the page from an order, the order’s Map tab refreshes once the sync popover closes.

To see Tive telemetry inside a chrt order:

  1. Open the chrt order at chrt.com/orders.
  2. In the order header, click Add Tracker and choose the Tive device. (See Trackers on orders for the full linking flow.)
  3. On the order’s Map tab, the Tive device renders alongside the driver’s location and any other linked trackers.

Tive data points are pulled, not pushed. If you need an up-to-the-minute view, click Sync on the Tive shipment detail page before you make decisions on stale data.

How to know it worked

  • A Tive device appears under Integrations > Devices within a minute of being created on the Tive side.
  • A Tive shipment appears under Integrations > Shipments once the device starts a Tive shipment.
  • The Sync popover shows the number of new data points retrieved.
  • When linked to a chrt order, the Tive track renders on the order’s Map tab next to the driver’s location.

If something looks different

  • Devices tab is empty. The Tive ↔ chrt link isn’t enabled for your org. Email trackers@chrt.com to confirm setup.
  • Shipments tab is empty. No Tive shipments have been created on your Tive account yet, or the link was enabled after the existing shipments closed.
  • Sync button is disabled. The shipment detail hasn’t finished loading. Wait a few seconds and try again.
  • No data on the order Map tab. Confirm the Tive device is linked to a cargo item on the order — see Trackers on orders.
  • Contact trackers@chrt.com for sync or hardware questions.
